Children’s Picture Book
(for Ages 3-8)
Most people are familiar with what Santa does on the night before Christmas, but what about the night after? He’s exhausted and needs a vacation! He’s focused on catching up on sleep, catching waves and catching a fish. But, as he finally dips his toes in the water, he catches wind about children in need, and Santa jumps into action! He ultimately catches something, but it may not be what you think!
A percentage of each book purchase supports Team LeGrand, a fundraising arm of the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. They support spinal cord injury research and quality of life initiatives. Why Team LeGrand? Eric LeGrand is a former Division I football player who sustained a spinal cord injury (SCI). In 2013, Eric launched Team LeGrand, a fundraising arm of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. I am supporting Team LeGrand because the moment I discovered that LeGrand was opening a business, it personally inspired me to stop talking and start DOING. For me, that was finishing my Beach Santa book.
As an independent author, MB knew it would be important to tie Beach Santa to something bigger than itself. Her humble hope is to share the Beach Santa story, promote children’s literacy, advocate for disability inclusion in children’s books, encourage writers of all ages, AND make a significant contribution to the SCI community.
